For company accounts only, and only owners and admins can do this; solo accounts have no Company Dashboard. Company Dashboard in Event Design App is where owners and admins manage the company profile and logo, team members (users or employees), roles, paid seats (licenses), shared or per-user credits, and billing. Each member has a separate role, visibility and seat, and a blocked action usually traces to one of those three, not the others.
Running a rental team on one workspace means four jobs: making the company look right on every PDF, bringing teammates in at the right access level, deciding who spends credits, and knowing where each charge came from. They all live in Company Dashboard, and they all depend on one idea that trips up almost everyone.
📺 Five short lessons: Convert to a Company and Set the Company Profile, Understand Owner, Admin, Member, and Project Visibility, Add a Team Member Directly or by Invitation, Manage Member Roles, Visibility, Status, and Removal and Choose Shared or Per-User Credits and Audit Usage.
Every team member has three separate settings. They are decided separately and they block you separately.
Setting | Choices | What it controls |
|---|---|---|
Role | Owner, Admin, Member | Who manages the company: team, credits, billing |
Visibility | Own-only, Company-wide | Which projects a standard member can see |
Seat | Plus or Pro, plus a payment state | The paid plan: premium tools, credits, and whether the account is active |
⚠ A member can have the right role and still be blocked by their seat. An Admin (a user who manages the team) whose seat shows Payment failed or Access locked has management responsibility on paper but not working access. And upgrading a seat from Plus to Pro never makes someone an Admin. Check the role, then check the seat.
When something is denied, ask which of the three it is. A plan upgrade will not fix a role problem, and a role change will not fix a seat problem.
Company owners and admins open Company Dashboard from the account menu. It has four sections: Profile, Team & Subscription, Credits and Billing.

Your company profile is how your company appears on exported PDFs and shared plans, so set it once and check it.
Make a company first. A company starts from an eligible individual account, and the account that converts becomes the Owner. If you see a conversion form instead of Company Dashboard, you are not in a company yet. If the form is absent, you are probably already in one, or an eligibility message explains what is missing.
Edit the details. Open Profile. The form has company Name, country, address, city, region, postal code, Main email and Phone. Select Save profile and wait for Company details saved. A missing company name is flagged, and a flagged field is not a successful save.
Replace the logo. Choose Replace logo (or Upload logo if you have none). Logos must be PNG, JPG or WEBP and no larger than 10 MB. Images are resized to 512 pixels and used on PDF exports and shared embeds.
💡 Judge the logo by the preview, not the filename. Check legibility, framing and contrast, then leave Profile and return to confirm the name and logo were kept.
⚠ The company name is not the plan title. An exported cover shows both: your plan title and your company name identify different things.
Open Team & Subscription. Read Members before you add anyone, so you do not duplicate someone who has joined or is already waiting on an invitation.
Each member row shows the name, email, a You marker on your own row, plus badges for role, status and visibility, and a Plan column.
Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
Active | A working membership |
Invited | Invitation sent, waiting for the recipient |
Pending payment | The seat payment has not completed |
Payment failed | The card charge failed |
Subscription canceled | The seat's subscription was canceled |
Access locked | The seat's subscription is inactive |
Removed | No longer on the team |
Select Add member. Choose how they join:
Direct add: you enter Email, Password, First Name and Last Name. The password needs at least 8 characters, including a letter and a number.
Invite: you enter only the Email. The recipient completes their own account from the link. See Accept a company invitation.
Then choose Role (Member or Admin) and Visibility (Own-only or Company-wide).
⚠ Adding the first member also asks how credits are shared. The How Credits Are Shared choice appears only for the first member, and it applies immediately. See section 5.
Select Next to open Choose subscription. Check the invitee, role, visibility and credit summary, then pick the seat plan, Plus ($35 a month) or Pro ($59 a month). Prices were correct at the time of recording; the plan cards in the dialog show current figures.
Open a member's actions menu (the three dots):
Make company admin or Make member changes the management role.
Set company-wide or Set own-only changes project visibility. The label shows where it will go.
Remove from team deletes the member.
After any change, wait for the result and check the badge before you do anything else.
⚠ The owner row is protected. For the owner, all three actions are disabled. That is owner protection, not a missing upgrade. You also cannot change your own role.
⚠ Removing a member deletes their live account. Their login stops immediately, projects they created that belong to the company move to the company owner, and their seat renewal is canceled at period end. The confirmation reads Delete member? Read it before you go on.
There is no Block or Unblock command, and no way to assign individual projects. Changing visibility is not deactivating an account.
Visibility limits what a standard member sees (who can see which projects):
Own-only: their own projects.
Company-wide: projects across the same company.
Owners and admins reach company projects through their management role. Broader visibility never makes someone an admin.

If a project seems to be missing from someone's list, check four things in order: they are signed in as the right person, their membership is Active, they belong to this company, and their visibility. A missing project does not mean it was deleted. Use Use the Company Dashboard to find it.
A seat (license) is a paid subscription attached to one person. Every seat is Plus or Pro, charged to the company's card on one company subscription.
Paying for a new seat. On Choose subscription, switching between Plus and Pro loads a charge preview with Prorated amount, Final charge today and Renews with company cycle. The company card is charged before the invitation email is sent. Finalize completes the flow.
⚠ Finalize can be disabled by company billing. If the preview says company billing needs an active Stripe subscription before paid seats can be changed, Finalize stays disabled. No invitation has been sent, so there is nothing for the recipient to accept yet. Select Manage billing and resolve the requirement, then retry.
Upgrading from Plus to Pro. An eligible member shows an Upgrade plan button. It appears only for owners and admins, on an Active Plus member whose billing is healthy. A Pro seat shows Top tier instead. In the review, check the name and email, then read Due now, the renewal date, and whether the amount is a Stripe preview or Estimated locally. The button then reads Charge company card or Confirm upgrade.
If the payment fails, read the message and use Manage billing to review the payment method and invoice state. If it still shows pending, wait for the screen to update before you start another payment for the same member. A checkout redirect alone does not confirm the seat changed, so reopen the member row and check.
⚠ A Pro label does not mean billing is ready. The workspace in the lesson showed one Pro seat and still needed an active Stripe subscription before any paid seat change.
Buying credits for a member. Add credits (or Add pool credits in shared mode) is available only for Active members on a Plus or Pro seat. When it is unavailable, hover the button for the reason, such as Payment failed or Paid seat required.
Open Credits. The Mode card shows the active mode:
Credits Per User: each member receives their own credits. Balances show as Remaining and Purchased.
Shared Credit Pool: all members draw from one company pool, shown with Monthly and Purchased. Member rows read Draws from company pool.
Owners and admins change the mode with Set Shared Credit Pool next cycle or Set Credits Per User next cycle. The change is scheduled: the card shows Next: with the destination and date, and says Applies on next billing cycle. The active mode does not change until then.
To undo a scheduled change, select Cancel scheduled switch. If a change seems not to have happened, read the effective date and the active mode before you switch again.
⚠ The very first member is the exception. Choosing a mode while adding the first member takes effect immediately, not next cycle.

Three views answer three different questions. Do not expect them to match line for line.
View | Answers | Where |
|---|---|---|
Billing summary | What the subscription looks like now: plan, cycle end, active seats, monthly seat total | Billing |
Company expenses | What cash was recorded: date, type, member, plan or feature, amount, status | Billing |
Credit history | What product activity used or returned credits | Credits |
A monthly seat total, a credit spend and an invoice need not correspond one for one. Credit units and cash amounts are different things.
Credit history. Use Scope (All, Company, User), Feature, Kind, From and To. Kind includes Feature Spend, Feature Refund and Credit Purchase, plus company seat and cycle entries. Reset clears every filter. Export CSV downloads the history for the scope you chose, available to owners and admins.
⚠ Empty means "no matching rows," not "missing charge." Changing a filter never creates a refund. A CSV with only headings records an empty result, not a purchase or refund.
Expenses. The list reads No billing expenses yet until a charge is recorded.
To trace a real charge, match the billing period, member, description, amount and currency, status and any payment reference. Confirm the company shown in the account control first. If a record looks missing, check the company and filters before you decide a payment was duplicated.
Manage billing opens the company's Stripe billing for payment details and billing documents. If it will not open, the message tells you the exact requirement.
Company billing must have an active Stripe subscription before paid seats can be changed. Company billing is not set up for paid seats yet. Finalize and the portal both stay blocked until it is. Use Manage billing once it is available and read the requirement.
Finalize is disabled. Check the billing message under the plan cards, and confirm the seat summary is correct.
An admin can't use the tools I expected. Check their seat status. An Admin with Payment failed, Subscription canceled or Access locked has the role but not working access.
There's no Upgrade plan button. The member must be an Active Plus member with healthy billing. Pro shows Top tier. Changing the role does not create a higher plan.
Make company admin, Set own-only and Remove from team are all grayed out (disabled). You are on the owner row, or your own. The owner is protected.
I changed the credit mode and nothing happened. It is scheduled for the next cycle. Look for Next: and the effective date on the Mode card.
My credit history is empty. Widen the From and To dates and select Reset. Empty only means no rows matched.
A teammate never got their invitation. The seat charge may have failed before the email was sent. Check their row for Pending payment or Payment failed, resolve billing, and resend.
The logo won't upload. It must be PNG, JPG or WEBP and 10 MB or smaller.
A member's project is missing. Check the signed-in identity, Active status, company and visibility before assuming it was deleted.
Only company owners and admins can open Company Dashboard, from the account menu; solo accounts do not have it. It has four sections: Profile, Team & Subscription, Credits and Billing. An Admin whose seat shows Payment failed or Access locked has the role but not working access, so check the seat as well as the role.
Role (Owner, Admin, Member) decides who manages the company. Visibility (Own-only or Company-wide) decides which projects a standard member sees. Seat (Plus or Pro, plus a payment state) is the paid plan. They are decided separately, so upgrading a seat never makes someone an Admin.
In Team & Subscription, select Add member. Choose Direct add with email, password and name, or Invite with email only. Then set Role and Visibility, select Next, and pick a Plus or Pro seat. The company card is charged before the invitation email is sent, then Finalize completes it.
Remove from team deletes the member's live account. Their login stops immediately, company projects they created move to the company owner, and their seat renewal is canceled at period end. The confirmation reads Delete member?, so read it first. Changing visibility does not deactivate anyone.
Switching between Credits Per User and Shared Credit Pool is scheduled for the next billing cycle. The Mode card shows Next: with the destination and date, and you can use Cancel scheduled switch to undo it. The exception is the first member added, where the choice applies immediately.
Company billing needs an active Stripe subscription before paid seats can be changed, so Finalize stays disabled and no invitation is sent. Select Manage billing, resolve the requirement shown, and try again. A Pro label alone does not mean billing is ready.
