Use the Company Dashboard

Company accounts only, owners and admins only: use the Company Dashboard to find a teammate (user, employee), open their projects and plans, and review them view-only.

Company accounts only; owners and admins only. The Company Dashboard in Event Design App lets company owners and admins find any teammate (user or employee), open their projects and view their plans in a read-only route. It is the Projects Overview page, with a user list on the left and the selected person's projects and plans on the right. Only owners and admins can open it.

A client calls about a layout and the person who built it is out. As a company owner or admin, you can find that teammate, open their project and look at the plan, all without editing it or asking them to share a link.

📺 The Academy’s company lessons start with Convert to a Company and Set the Company Profile.

What is the difference between Company Dashboard and Projects Overview?

Two places both say "company". This trips people up, so start here.

  • Company Dashboard in the account menu opens Team & Subscription, where you manage members (users), seats (licenses), credits and billing. That is covered in Manage company profile, team, credits, and billing.

  • Projects Overview is the page this article is about: a list of company users on the left and the selected person's projects and plans on the right.

⚠ Clicking Company Dashboard does not open the user list. Projects Overview is the company dashboard's home page, with no section selected. Use the overview link your company manager gave you (the company-admin page with no ?section= on the end).

Only company owners and admins can open these pages. The pages show only data inside your own company.

1. How to find a teammate in the Company Dashboard

In Projects Overview:

  1. In Search users, type a name or an email address.

  2. Use Status to narrow the list: All, Active, Inactive or Invited.

  3. Select the person. Check the name, email, role and status on the right match who you meant.

Searching changes only the list you are looking at. It does not change anyone's membership.

💡 Invited here means "email not yet verified," not "invitation pending in Team & Subscription." To check whether someone has accepted a company invitation, use the member list in Manage company profile, team, credits, and billing.

The list shows 20 people at a time, so use the paging controls if your search is broad.

2. How to open a teammate's projects

Choose Projects. Each row shows the project name, creator, last updated date and status.

Select View. The project opens with its title and a View only badge, with its plans listed underneath. The person you selected stays visible above the list, so you keep the person and the project together.

3. How to open a teammate's plan

Choose Planners to list the selected user's plans. Each row shows the plan name, its project, a last-updated date and a status.

Find the plan by both names: the plan title and its project. Clients often have several events with similarly named layouts, such as "Main Layout" in three different projects. Compare both before you select View.

The plan opens in a view-only route.

⚠ Seeing a plan does not mean you can edit it. This route lets you inspect a layout. Do not assume edit permission because the geometry loaded.

When you are done, return to Projects Overview and confirm the selected user again before you open another record.

Who can see which projects in a company?

Two settings on a company member control what they see (who can see which projects), and they are not the same as your management role.

  • A member's role (Owner, Admin, Member) decides who manages the company.

  • A member's visibility (Own-only or Company-wide) decides which projects a standard member can see.

Owners and admins reach company projects through their management role, which is why you can look at a teammate's work from here. Changing a standard member's visibility does not make them an admin. See Manage company profile, team, credits, and billing.

Troubleshooting

Company Dashboard took me to Team & Subscription, not the users. That is the intended landing page. Open Projects Overview from the overview link instead.

My search says No users found. Check Status first. Searching an active person while Inactive is selected shows nothing. Set Status back to All and clear the search.

A project or plan I expected is missing. Confirm the company and the selected user, then check any active search and status filter. An empty filtered list does not mean the work was deleted.

I can't open the Company Dashboard (the link is missing or I get no access). It is available only to company owners and admins. A standard member, and any solo (non-company) account, does not see these pages.

I opened a plan and can't edit it. That is the View only route. Ask the plan's owner to make changes, or open it from their account.

Two plans have the same name. Check the project name beside each plan in the Planners list before you press View.

Frequently asked questions

Who can open the Company Dashboard?

Only company owners and admins, on company accounts. A standard member, or a solo account, does not see these pages. The pages show only data inside your own company, so you can review teammates' projects and plans but never another company's. Standard members do not see the Projects Overview or the Team & Subscription pages.

How do I find a teammate's plan as a company admin?

Open Projects Overview, type a name or email in Search users, and select the person. Choose Projects to see their projects, then Planners to list their plans. Match the plan title and its project before pressing View, because several projects can hold a plan with the same name.

Can I edit a teammate's plan from the Company Dashboard?

No. Plans opened from the Company Dashboard use a view-only route, marked with a View only badge. Seeing the layout load does not mean you have edit permission. Ask the plan's owner to make changes, or open it from their account.

Why does Company Dashboard open Team & Subscription instead of the user list?

That is the intended landing page. Company Dashboard in the account menu opens Team & Subscription, where you manage members, seats, credits and billing. Projects Overview is a separate page, so use the overview link your company manager gave you, with no section on the end.

Why does my user search say No users found?

Check the Status filter first. Searching for an active person while Inactive is selected shows nothing. Set Status back to All, clear the search, and try again. An empty filtered list does not mean the person or their work was deleted.

What does Invited mean in the Projects Overview Status filter?

In Projects Overview, Invited means the person's email is not yet verified. It does not mean an invitation is pending in Team & Subscription. To check whether someone has accepted a company invitation, use the member list under Team & Subscription.
