In Event Design App, a template saves an entire plan (layout), including its objects, walls and reference images, as a reusable starting point you can copy for the next event. Open Templates in the header, choose Save Template, name it, and later choose Load Template to start a new plan from it. Use a collection instead when you only need a few items. Templates are available to all accounts; on company accounts, what you see follows workspace access.
If you set up the same ballroom, tent or reception shell for every client, you're rebuilding it from scratch more often than you need to. A template saves a whole plan — its objects, walls, and reference images — as a reusable starting point.

Template or collection? A template captures an entire plan. A collection saves just a few selected objects, such as one table group (see Use collections). Use a template for the room, a collection for a piece of furniture arrangement.
A template captures everything in the open plan, so start from a finished one.
Open a finished plan worth reusing. Check the whole scene and the current view. If it uses walls or reference images, review those too, and remove temporary experiments first. Everything in the plan goes into the template.
Select Save and wait until saving finishes. Check the plan name at the top so you know which layout is open.
Open Templates in the header and choose Save Template.
Give it a clear name, such as "Backdrop Corner, Event Baseline", and a description that says what the arrangement is and why you made it ("two panels on one side, three on the other, used as an event boundary").
Select Save Template.

⚠ Saving under an existing name asks to overwrite. If a template with that name already exists, an Overwrite Template? prompt appears and confirming replaces its content with the current plan. Cancel if you meant a new template, and give it a different name.
Open Templates again and choose Load Template. Your own entries appear under My Templates, each with a name, a preview and a description. Search by a distinctive word from the name.
If it isn't there:
Clear the search — a search for something that doesn't match shows nothing.
Check your user and company. Template availability follows workspace access, so you may be in a different workspace than the one where you saved it.
Loading a template starts a plan from the saved layout.
⚠ Loading can replace the current working state. Save your work first, and load into a new, empty plan whenever you can.
Save any current work.
Open Templates, choose Load Template and search.
Read the name, preview and description before choosing — similar templates look alike.
Select Load Template on the entry and let it finish loading.
Inspect the objects and scene against what you expected.

In the template list, choose Edit on an entry. The fields are the name and description only. Select Save Changes.
This updates the library entry. It does not change objects already placed in your working plan, and the main Save button is a separate action that saves the plan. To confirm an edit took, close the list, reopen it, and open Edit again.
💡 To change what a template contains, open a plan that has the content you want, then save a template under the same name and confirm the overwrite.
Deleting a template removes it from your library permanently.
Choose Delete on the entry.
Read the confirmation — it names the template and says the action cannot be undone.
If it names the wrong one, choose Cancel; the entry stays.
Confirm only for the template you mean to remove.
Practice on a throwaway template first, then search again to make sure the one you want to keep is still listed.
My template isn't in the list. Clear the search, then check you're in the same user and company where you saved it.
