Available on all accounts and plans. In Event Design App, you reshape a Procedural Curtain — the pleated curtain, drape or backdrop from the Decor & Accessories catalog — by dragging nine handles (anchor points) on three red guide lines: side handles change width at the top, middle or hem, curve handles bow the edges, and the center handle bends it. Double-click a side handle to move only one side.
A straight rectangle of fabric rarely matches the backdrop in your client's photo: one side is wider, the top sags in a curve, the hem flares. A Procedural Curtain lets you shape all of that by dragging handles directly on the curtain, instead of guessing at numbers.

The editor shows the curtain handles only when a single, unlocked Procedural Curtain is selected.
Place a Procedural Curtain from the catalog (in Decor & Accessories).
Select the curtain. It must be the only thing selected.
Orbit until you're looking at the curtain face on. Three red guide lines appear (top, middle and bottom), with nine round handles sitting on them.

⚠ No handles? Check four things: more than one object is selected; the curtain is locked (see Undo, redo, delete, lock, isolate, focus and grid); you're in a read-only or export view; or the handles are off-screen. A handle outside the canvas isn't drawn, so zoom out or use Focus on the curtain.
Imagine the curtain as a grid: three rows (top, middle, bottom) and three columns (left, middle, right).

By default a side handle works symmetrically: drag the right edge out and the left edge moves out by the same amount, so the row stays centered. Different widths on the top, middle and bottom give you a taper or a flare.
Dragging a top corner changes two things at once, width and height. If you only wanted a wider top, check the height afterward.
To change just one edge of a Procedural Curtain:
Double-click a left or right handle. It turns amber, the other handles disappear, and a banner reads Single-point edit · Drag anchor · Esc to exit.
Drag that handle. Only that side of that row moves.
Press Escape, or click outside the handle, to leave single-point mode.
Use this for a curtain that has to stop at a pillar on one side, or that's deliberately lopsided. The middle-column handles can't enter single-point mode: they control curves, which are always centered.
💡 In single-point mode, a top corner changes only that side's width and leaves height alone. If you want to change the height, use a symmetric top-corner drag or type the number in Height.
⚠ A single-side edit makes the row asymmetric. The panel still shows one total width for the row, so it's no longer a simple "half each side".
A Procedural Curtain can't collapse to nothing:
Minimum width of any row: 100 mm (about 4 in).
Minimum height: 100 mm (about 4 in).
In single-point mode, each side keeps at least 50 mm (about 2 in) from the center line.
Curve Depth can't go negative. Middle Bend can bend either way.
If a handle refuses to go further, you've hit a limit. Precise values are easiest to enter directly in Curtain Shape: Top Width, Middle Width, Bottom Width, Height, Curve Depth, Middle Bend, Folds and Fold Amp.
Under Orientation in the properties panel, Vertical hangs the curtain upright and Horizontal lays it the other way. The handles follow the curtain whichever you choose.
Save the plan and refresh once to confirm the curtain shape persists.
I can't see any anchor handles. Select just the curtain, make sure it isn't locked, and bring it fully into view.
My curtain got taller when I only wanted it wider. You dragged a top-corner handle. Re-set Height in the panel, or use single-point mode, which leaves height alone.
I want only one side wider, and both moved. Double-click the handle first to enter single-point mode.
I'm stuck in single-point mode. Press Escape, or click away from the handle.
I can't make the curtain any narrower. The minimum width is about 4 in. Past that, the handle stops.
The middle handles won't enter single-point mode. They control curves, not edges. Only side handles can.
The curtain looks different after a refresh. Save first, then refresh. If it still differs, report it to support.
Curtain handles appear only when the Procedural Curtain is the single selected object, is not locked, and is not in a read-only or export view. Select only the curtain, unlock it, orbit until you face it, and zoom out or use Focus if a handle sits outside the canvas, because off-screen handles aren't drawn.
Drag the bottom left or bottom right handle outward to widen the hem, or type Bottom Width in Curtain Shape. Side handles work symmetrically by default, so the opposite side moves by the same amount. Different Top Width, Middle Width and Bottom Width values give you a taper or a flare.

Dragging a top corner handle changes width and height at the same time. To widen only the top, double-click the handle for single-point mode, which leaves height alone, or reset Height by typing it in Curtain Shape. A symmetric top-corner drag always changes both.
A Procedural Curtain can't shrink below 100 mm (about 4 in) in width on any row or in height. In single-point mode, each side keeps at least 50 mm (about 2 in) from the center line. If a handle refuses to go further, you have hit a limit; type precise values in Curtain Shape instead.
