In Event Design App, the Properties panel (the settings panel) on the right shows options only for what you've selected: its header gives the selected count and object Type, followed by cards such as Colors, Linens or Options, and Quick Layout. With nothing selected it says No object selected. If an option seems missing, check your selection first.
Scope: Colors and Quick Layout apply to 3D plans only. Typing exact Position and Dimensions values applies to 2D plans only.
You select a chair and see a Colors card. You select a table and see Linens. You select a sofa and see neither. That's not a bug. The Properties panel shows only what the selected thing actually supports.

The Properties panel is on the right, and it follows your selection.
Nothing selected: it says No object selected and shows general scene controls.
Something selected: the header shows how many objects are selected and the Type of the object, followed by that object's options.
Check the header first. It tells you whether you have one object or five, and what kind. If an option is missing, the cause is almost always the selection or the object type, not the panel.

What appears in the Properties panel (the object's settings) depends on the object:

A wall or floor has its own panel with its own settings. If you can't find a wall option, click the wall itself.
If a model comes in several looks (a different tablecloth, fabric or finish), a card appears showing the current one and how many are available (for example, 12 options available). Click it to open the picker.
On a table with linens, the section is called Linens, and the picker is Select Linen.
On other compatible models, the section is called Options.
To change one:
Select the model.
Open Linens (or Options).
Search by name, for example "blue." Let the thumbnails load.
Choose one, for example Dark Blue, then Apply.
The cloth or surface changes; the model's shape and position stay exactly where they were.
⚠ What appears depends on the model and your access. If there's no Linens or Options card, that model has no variations to offer.
Some models expose a Colors card, showing how many material colors it has and a row of swatches. Open it to tint each material separately — for example, a Tiffany chair has two, so you can make the frame gold and leave the seat white.

⚠ Not every model has Colors. The card only appears when you've selected exactly one model and it supports editable materials. It's hidden for multiple selections, for 2D plans, and for models without material controls. If it's missing, check your selection, then try a compatible alternative.
In a 3D plan, Quick Layout appears in Properties when you have objects selected. Quick Layout duplicates your selection into an arrangement (grid, circle, U shape and so on) and adds the copies to the scene. See Use Quick Layout presets.
3D plans have no numeric fields for position, rotation or scale. Use the handles instead. See Move, rotate, scale, and snap.
2D plans do. Properties shows Position (X, Y) and Dimensions (Width and Depth or Height, or Diameter for round tables), each with an Apply button. Type the values, then click Apply Position or Apply Dimensions.
⚠ In 2D, typing isn't enough — click Apply. The numbers don't take effect until you do.
Select a sofa, then a chair, and compare. Different objects expose different controls. With several objects selected, the header shows the count and the one-object cards, like Colors, don't appear. Narrow it to a single object to get them back.
Edits show on the canvas straight away, but they're only safe once saved. Click Save and wait for it to return from Saving. Autosave runs about 60 seconds after your last change. Reopen the plan and check the finish is still there.
Click empty canvas and read the panel. Select a sofa, a chair and a table, and compare the three.
On a table with linens, open Linens, search "blue" and apply Dark Blue.
On a Tiffany chair, open Colors and change one material.
Select two chairs and notice Colors disappear.
Save, reopen, check.
There's no Colors card. Not every model supports it. Confirm you have one object selected, and try a different model.
The Linens card says Options (or the reverse). Tables with linens use Linens. Other models use Options. Same feature.
The panel says "No object selected". Click an object, wall or floor on the canvas.
The panel shows five selected objects when I clicked a chair. It's part of a generated table set. See Select and multi-select objects.
I can't type a position or angle. Not in 3D. Use handles. 2D plans have fields.
My typed 2D values didn't change anything. Click Apply Position or Apply Dimensions.

They are the same feature under different names. A table with linens (tablecloth) shows a Linens card and a Select Linen picker, while other compatible models show Options. Either card opens a picker of texture variations, such as "12 options available," and you choose one and click Apply.
The chair belongs to a generated table set, which selects as one unit. A table with four chairs reports five selected objects, and dragging a handle moves them all. Check the header count before editing, and press Undo if more moved than you expected.
Only in 2D plans. 2D plans show Position (X, Y) and Dimensions, each with an Apply button; type values, then click Apply Position or Apply Dimensions, because typing alone changes nothing. 3D plans have no numeric fields for position, rotation or scale, so use the handles instead.
