Plus and Pro plans only, because it needs AI Image to 3D access. Saving a generated model to the catalog in Event Design App turns a finished AI Image to 3D result (a model made from a photo) into a reusable catalog item you can search for and place in any plan. You need a completed generation, a name, a description, a category and a target height. Generating, saving and placing are three separate steps.
You generated the perfect sofa, and you don't want to repeat the process next time. Saving it to the catalog turns the one-off result into something you can search for and drop into any plan.
Generating a model, saving it to the catalog and placing it in a plan are three separate steps. A finished generation does not appear in the catalog by itself.

Before saving:
Open the completed generation from History in AI Image to 3D. A job that is still processing can't be saved.
Rotate it and check the shape, texture and orientation. Fix problems now: once it's in the catalog, every plan that uses it inherits them.
Set the Target Height in Model Transform. See Use AI Image to 3D.
⚠ A target height is required to save. If it's empty or zero, Save to Catalog stays unavailable and the screen says Target height is required to save to catalog. The saved item keeps this size, so set it to the real height first.
Saving needs your AI Image to 3D access. Saving itself isn't shown as a credit charge. The credits were spent when you generated.
Scroll to Save to Catalog (the form that turns a generated model into a catalog item) and complete the required fields:

The preview thumbnail is captured automatically from the 3D workspace when you save, so line the model up the way you want it to look in the catalog first.

Click Save to Catalog once and wait. The button shows Saving… while the model is prepared. When it finishes:
the History entry is marked Saved,
the result panel changes to Saved to Catalog, and
it reports This generation has already been saved and is read-only from history.
Read the saved record. It shows the Catalog Item name, its Scope and when it was Saved.
⚠ Check the Scope shown on the saved record. The form said My catalog, but the saved record may report a different scope word (the lesson showed global). Trust the record, and check it against who you expect to see the item.
⚠ If you see a processing or review state, follow it. Items saved by regular accounts can be submitted for review before they're generally available. Wait for the state to clear before you try to place or re-save the item. Don't save the same result a second time.
To find the saved item:
Close the result window.
In the Catalog panel, search for the name you used.
The entry shows your name, description and thumbnail. Let the preview load.

To place the saved item:
Click the catalog entry. A Ready to Place message confirms which model is active.
Click the canvas once to place one copy, then let the model finish loading.
Check the placed model from a couple of angles: orientation, contact with the floor, and the space around it.
Save the plan.
Now the sofa exists as both a reusable catalog asset and an object in your plan. Saving the plan keeps the placement. The catalog entry remains the reusable source for future plans.
💡 Check scale against something you know. Drop it next to a standard chair or table. Generated models can need a second look for scale, texture quality and orientation before they go into a client layout.
Open a completed generation and confirm its target height.
Fill in name, description and category, then save once.
Read the saved record, including its scope.
Search for the name, place one copy, and check the floor contact.
Save the plan.
Save to Catalog is grayed out (I can't save my model). One of these is missing: name, description, category or a valid target height. Also check that the model preview has finished loading.
It says the target height must be greater than zero. Enter the real height in Model Transform, then leave the field.
I don't see the saved item in the catalog. Refresh the catalog, check you're not filtered to a different category, and search by the exact name. If the saved record showed a review state, it may not be available yet.
The saved item is the wrong size or faces the wrong way. The saved model keeps the height you set. Generate or adjust a corrected version and save it under a new name, for example v2.
It says Generation not completed. The job hasn't finished. Wait for Completed in History.
I can't save at all. Your plan or company access may not include AI Image to 3D. See Why a feature is locked.
